Flood Risk Assessment (FRAs) are a vital step in the development process and there is an increasing awareness of the importance of planning for flood risk at the earliest intervention stages.
This course will inform delegates on the processes of planning systems and flood risk management, the flood risk assessment process and an introduction to flood modelling.
After this one-day course, you will leave with the knowledge of the key policies and legislation relating to FRAs, how flood modelling is carried out and considerations when evaluating FRAs. You also receive our full tutorial pack which will allow you to refer back to your course content after the course is finished, enabling you to continue to access key points and refresher topics as you need them.
